work in progress
We're building
something.
Stay tuned. Our new place arrives soon — and we hope it'll be worth the wait. The press room is humming, the inks are mixed and the windows are open to let the spring in.
In the meantime, here's what we've been up to behind the curtain:
- Catalogue. Drawing up a new catalogue of original press prints — including the three lost plates we recovered from the Hartington estate last autumn.
- Restoration. Restoring three pieces of cast-iron equipment — a Stanhope, an Albion and a small etching press that came to us in pieces.
- Online shop. Setting up a small online shop for limited editions of fewer than thirty copies.
- Photography. Photographing every plate, in good morning light, against unbleached linen.
- Studio visits. Drafting a fresh booking calendar for visitors and students.
If you are an existing customer, your standing order is safe and our printers are still pressing. The shop window simply isn't open to new visitors yet — and the door is wedged with a tin of black ink to keep it from swinging shut.
